Community Poetry Slam
In December, our fall season finishes with live poetry performances from our talented poet-athletes!
The Poetry SLAM is a culmination of 10 weeks of hard work by our Miami SCORES poet-athletes, which will feature a boys’ and a girls’ group poem and four total individual performances from poet-athletes from each partner school. Adding to the excitement, special guests from the Miami community will join us as judges, ready to inspire, uplift, and celebrate every voice on stage!

Our 2025 Community Poetry Slam will take place on December 5, 2025, at Miami Jackson Senior High School, 1751 NW 36th St, Miami, FL 33142. This year's Community Poetry SLAM has been organized with support of the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
