We are looking for runners to join our 2025 Miami SCORES Marathon team!

Our 2025 Miami SCORES Marathon team members will have the opportunity to participate in the full Life Time Miami Marathon® and raise funds for Miami SCORES. The funds will help us improve and expand our free programming, supporting Miami's next generation of poet-athletes and community leaders.

Our runners will also receive a warm welcome into our Miami SCORES community with Miami SCORES gear, team mixers, and personal invites to our program's events!

Please email miami@americascores.org if you are interested in this opportunity. The Life Time Miami Marathon® is already sold out, but Miami SCORES still has 2 half marathon and full marathon slots to be offered at a first come, first serve basis. â€‹â€‹

MATT WAYNE

Matt resides in Los Angeles, CA and is excited to raise money for Miami SCORES and celebrate his daughter Anna’s birthday the same week as the Miami Marathon. Matt is an entrepreneur, investor and global health documentary film director and producer. Matt loves what he calls “racing to give” and has competed in numerous Ironman races, the NYC and Boston marathons and the Empire State Building run up all while raising money for causes he is passionate about supporting. Matt is honored to run to raise money for Miami SCORES for the great work they are doing to support whole child development through soccer (he is a fan of David Beckham), the creativity of poetry (he loves Langston Hughes), and service learning (because he believes in the transformative power of giving for one’s soul and community).

FERNANDO HERNANDEZ

Fernando Hernandez is a Salvadorian-American who has been living in Miami for over 17 years. He is very excited to run for Miami SCORES because, as he is from El Salvador, he understands what it is like to be within an environment that doesn't necessarily support self-expression & creativity. He resonates with how Miami SCORES uses the game he loves to empower youth to express themselves and build character. To Fernando, soccer and poetry are two tools that have the potential to positively transform kids' lives.  He's honored to be part of the 2025 Miami SCORES Marathon Team!
